About:

RSI has been engaged in political education, party building and development of democracy in central, eastern and south eastern europe for over 20 years. We brought this experience and expertise to the promotion of women’s equal opportunities for participation in politics, a theme we address with special activities since 2007.

Objectives

to help increase women’s political participation and influence, providing assistance that tokes into account the different approach and condition of partner parties, to enable women to lead value and program based parties, to help recognize, identify and represent the concerns of their electorate in their communities.

Doina Gherman (Moldova)
participant of PAS arrived to our seminar by bus and was appalled by conditions. She conducted opinion research on travel safety and started an advocacy campaign, submitted a petition to the National Auto Transport Agency, formulated recommendations for improving the legal framework and contacted the Consumer Protection Agency. Additionally, she’s recently become President of the PAS Women organisation which she helped found. From now on she can actively participate in political decision making.
Oksana Straz (Ukraine)
participant from the Samopomich party conducted opinion research on internet security for children in cooperation with the police. After having the topic on agenda of the local party organization and city council meetings, they visited every school with a training lesson for kids, had 10 open meetings on that topic, created an expert group – an official working group with a citywide program on cyber security which also advised on how to change state policy in this field.
